Talha Jubayer, a 9th semester student of the Department of Law at East West University, claimed the Championship at the NSU CLR Undergraduate Law Symposium Spring 2026, held on May 16, 2026, organized by the Department of Law and Center for Legal Research at North South University.
Out of all submissions from undergraduate law students across Bangladesh, only 15 papers were selected for presentation. Talha Jubayer's paper titled "Mob Lynching and the Constitutional Breakdown of the State's Monopoly on Violence in Bangladesh" was among them — and ultimately earned him the highest distinction of the event, along with a championship crest, certificate, and prize money of BDT 9,000.
A remarkable achievement that puts EWU's Department of Law firmly on the national academic map.
