Students, security personnel, and cleaning staff of East West University came together in a unified protest, raising their voices against the alarming rise in rape cases and child murders across Bangladesh. The demonstration reflected a collective outrage over recent incidents - including the killing of 7 year old Ramisa in Pallabi on May 19, and similar tragedies in Munshiganj, Thakurgaon, and Sylhet.
The EWU community made clear that no political or social identity can shield a criminal — and condemned the culture of impunity that continues to fail the victims and their families. Their singular demand was swift trials and exemplary punishment for every perpetrator.
The protest stood as a powerful reminder that justice cannot wait.
